the old covered bridge of White River Junction after the freshet of
February 1913.

NWC Open Board Positions
From: "" <norwichwomensclub@gmail.com>
Since 1907 the Norwich Women’s Club has been a non-profit group with a
mission to promote the cultural, educational, civic and charitable
aspects of life in Norwich. In addition to raising money for need-based
Education Scholarships and Community Project Grants, our two major
efforts, we also organize several other community events like the
Selectboard Candidates Forum, a once a month Coffee and Conversations
held at the Norwich Inn, a Book and Author evening and several social
parties to which we also invite non-members. None of this is hard, but it
does take time and organization, and we need your help! There are several
open positions on our Board of Directors, who make up the chairs of each
event committee. If you have any interest in a specific job we would love
to discuss the details with you.

Cameo Baroque performs in Lebanon May 10!
From: Beth Hilgartner <beth@cameoarts.org>
Date: Fri, 9 May 2025 08:20:18 -0400
Cameo Baroque presents:
Handel and his Rivals
Experience some music of G.F. Handel, and of his enemies and rivals. Handel's
London was a fascinating world, musically; and though Handel was a towering
figure, it wasn't always easy being (or staying) on top! This program features
instrumental and vocal works by Handel, and also works by Giovanni Battista
Bononcini, Thomas Augustine Arne, John Frederick Lampe, and from John Gay's
The Beggar's Opera.
Performances:
7 PM on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the First Congregational
Church, 10 South Park Street, Lebanon NH 03766 — a benefit for the VT Food
Bank
7 PM on Friday, May 23, 2025 at Centre Congregational Church
193 Main Street, Brattleboro, VT 05301 — a benefit for the HELP Fund
3 PM on Sunday, May 25, 2025 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 203 South Main
Street, Northfield, Vermont 05663 — a benefit for Camp Agape
Admission to these concerts is by free will offering, all of which goes to the
stated beneficiaries.
Cameo Baroque is the Upper Valley’s local period instrument ensemble. Leslie
Stroud, traverso - Beth Hilgartner, recorders and voice - Laurie Rabut, viola
da gamba - Ernie Drown, harpsichord.
Hope to see you at one of the concerts.
