A Quilt for a cause

In the military way of life, there is always another mission that needs to be done in order to meet the unit’s goals. Everyone knows what is expected and works together as a team and the job gets done.

Dot Plume and Donna Stearns secret mission of late has been to make Quilts for Combat veterans. They too work well as a team and as you can see from these photos their mission is complete. The American Legion Post # 8 commander, Jim Harlow was on hand at Dan and Whit’s to present their quilt to George Fraser on Monday 3/28/22.

George served 2 tours of duty during the Vietnam War, receiving 2 bronze stars and numerous other awards for his service to his country.

Editor’s note Photos for this story were provided by Legion member Gary De Gasta.
