A Retirement celebration for Sam Eaton (and a photo essay)
Sam worked for over 20 years for the Norwich Fire District and retired as the Operations Manager.
Yes the cake was delicious!
Good Evening Norwich:
This short story/photo essay is in honor of Sam Eaton.
Sam has worked for the Norwich Fire district for over 20 years and has decided that December 30, 2022 would be his last day. Yes, Sam is retiring as the Operation Manager and planning to enjoy every moment of it. He prepared the town well before his last day of work as this is the way Sam rolls if you will. Sam took the time to train and hire a new Water Technician so that the transition would be a smooth one. Mike Wells was hired almost a year ago so that he could learn the ropes and to learn to swim sort of speak. He would become the new Water Technician along with Mike Tibbetts. It seems that Sam has done his job well as Mike Tibbetts was recently promoted to the position of Operations Manager for the district effective January 1, 2023.

And now let the party begin:
Sam is really enjoying this moment!
Just a little catching up I’d say!
3 sets of one and one (No quorum needed and therefore no official meeting just some fun!
And some real nice conversation happening here!
Non alcoholic beverages I hope?
And a well wisher guest signs Sam’s card.
Everyone here is busy listening or having something to say in the good old fashion Norwich way.
And now we are almost ready to say a few words about Sam.
Mike Goodrich, Chairman of the Prudential Committee for the Norwich Fire District makes a presentation
Congratulations Sam, You deserve it and now it is time to really enjoy life
Thank you Demo!! I’m grateful for your story!
