Good evening Norwich and the Upper Valley:
Editors note: This is a follow up to the original story that I did on two Honda Element vehicles that I spotted while out and about Norwich. It appears that someone here in town also owned an Element and wanted to share their story with the readers so here it is, however in order to fully appreciate this story, you may want to check the first one out so click on the

Happy reading,
Hi Demo and greetings from Douglas Road! This morning’s article on the Honda Elements in town was truly enjoyable. I bought my Galaxy Grey EX in Sept 2008 and it has been the most mechanically reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned. The vehicle’s design is brilliant…it is a Swiss Army knife on wheels. "It moved two sons to boarding schools and colleges, brought trash to the dump, toted mountain bikes and kayaks, hauled hockey gear to rinks all around New England, ferried two 150-lb Newfoundlands to the vets, and gone on numerous camping and skiing trips."
In the spring of 2022, I gave my Element to my older son who was contemplating a move to Utah to work in the ski industry. He happily converted it to a camper (pics), complete with canopy, rooftop cargo carrier and hitch-mounted bike rack. "It has survived two cross-country trips to Utah (fully packed) and now sports >240,000 miles.” I was diligent about oil changes and preventative maintenance, and this Element has not disappointed. The Element platform/design is ideal for re-introduction as an EV…I predict we will see one from the brilliant folks at Honda within three years!
Upon gifting my Element to my son, I bought a…Jeep Wrangler. Who knew I was exiting one car cult to join another!
Enjoy the fall,
Dan DeMars
