A thank you from the Norwich PD ,a save the date- and a photo essay
Over 20 residents stopped in to have some coffee and talk with the NPD staff.
Good afternoon Norwich,
The Norwich Police and members of the community met together to have a casual conversation over a cup of coffee and yes a doughnut too! I have covered this event in the past couple of years and can tell you , it was nice to see the police and community members come together and just mingle.
There were several questions asked and the feedback in the room was very positive
Here is the posting from this mornings listserv from the NPD that says it all and some photos of the event.

Chief Cochran would like to thank everyone for coming to Coffee with a Cop. Approximately 20 residents were present. Discussion topics included pedestrian safety, speed enforcement, mental health concerns, NPD staffing, and the budget. It was also Officer Chelsea Maxham’s first day at NPD, what a great way for her to meet some of the locals! Our next Coffee with a Cop is scheduled for February 28 at 10:00 a.m. As always, if you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact any of us at NPD.

And the residents are settling in for an hour of conversation with the NPD staff
Some introductions and opening remarks from the Chief and NPD staff
And then some one and one conversations with the residents of Norwich
With some nice feedback back and forth from the left
And some comments from folks sitting on the right side of the room as well
Responding to a question from the floor
And answering a question raised from the back of the room
A nice productive event and this was just the first one. Stay tuned for more to come
