Check out the new Circles Project mural installed today at Dan and Whit's.
This was a project done By the Norwich Historical Society with the help of many
Hello Norwich and Beyond and within the Upper Valley. If you are out and about and happen to stop by Dan and Whit’s General Store in Norwich, take a moment to check out the mural that has been mounted along the building. It is for the Norwich Historical Society Circles Project and was installed today.
The sponsors for this project are Dan and Whit’s, The Norwich Public Library, Gail and Nick Sanders and it was done for the Norwich Historical Society in an effort to celebrate our interconnected circles and reflect on all that has provided us hope during this challenging time. The Norwich Historical Society had asked the participants, what brings you hope during this time? What are you most grateful for right now? Who or what's in your circle? There were many volunteers who assisted with this project, so a special thank you needs to be said to all who helped out.
A special note of thanks here from Sarah Rooker to the team and installers
A BIG THANK YOU to the Circles Mural Installers
Many, many thanks to Scott Miller, Tracy Smith, Carla Vincent, Wendy
Thompson, and Cheri Mather for installing the mural at Dan & Whit's on
Sunday. They worked for over a week, gluing all your circles and prepping
for the installation today. It was an immense amount of work. All of us on
the team are also grateful to Dan & Whit's for providing the wall, Nick &
Gail Sanders and the library for financial support, and to over 150 Norwich
residents who poured their hearts and souls into the circles. Enjoy!
