Half-Step Beer and Wine is taking a full step on November 1, 2023 with their Grand Opening.
Take a half step or even a full step to check it out for yourself.
Good evening Norwich and Upper Valley readers and hopeful subscribers,
A few weeks ago on September 20 of this year to be exact, I posted a story about a new owner and business that was going to open in Norwich. Here is the link to that story:
I am now happy to report the local breaking news story of the day which is that the Half-step Beer and Wine will be having their Grand Opening at 12:00 noon on November 1, 2023 at the former Norwich Wine and Spirits location at 289 Main Street in Norwich.
Here is information that I copied from their website which is https://halfstep.beer/

And now for the rest of the story:
I asked Cole to send me some updated info for this announcement/story and here is what Cole has to say:
Demo,
Here's an update before our opening:
The coolers are (mostly) stocked! In the new five door cooler, 3 doors are dedicated to Vermont beers, one door to regional craft beer, and one door to nationally distributed craft beer. You'll also find your favorite "football beers", e.g. Budweiser, Pabst, Miller Lite, etc. in the old school cooler. The non-alcoholic selection and cider selection is trickling in this week and should be ready to go by opening day. The wine selection is almost complete with around 50 different wines--most of which are $20 and under. I've tasted every wine that we have and it's all been hand selected. I also encourage customers to let me know if there's something they'd like to see in stock or special order.
I look forward to seeing everyone next week once we officially open.

All set up and ready for the soft opening which was held this week.
Low and behold the very first customer at the soft opening was non other than Peter Rutledge former longtime owner of Norwich Wines and Spirits which was in this very same location for many years.
And so now here is the layout of the store if you will so you don’t get lost in the crowd when you hopefully shop there next week.
The wine collection will have over 50 +/- different wines most of which are priced under $ 20.00. (Editors note: notice that each bottle has a price right on the neck of the bottle just to keep it simple sort of speak.

Check out the nice neat display and of course the Grateful Dead poster on the wall!

Everything is nice and neat and awaiting your arrival, so why not give them a try and see for yourself.
