The Halloween Candy Collection is ongoing and needs your help!
Yes it is that time of year again! This breaking news just in from Molly Gentine and the Marion Cross PTO.
The Marion Cross PTO will be collecting bags of candy until October 30th for in-town homes that host over 500 trick-or-treaters on Halloween night! Collection boxes are already in place at the following locations: Norwich Public Library, Dan and Whit’s, Norwich Nursery School and the Marion Cross School. This photo essay shows the locations and it is hoped that all the boxes will be full in time for the Halloween trick or treat event.
Thank You in advance for your kind donations!
In-town homes on the trick-or-treating route: Please stop by the bin at Dan and Whit’s and pick up candy at your convenience anytime in October. We Will have a sign-out sheet available for you. Streets that traditionally receive candy are: Main St., Hazen, Cliff, Trumball Ln, Church, Carpenter, Elm/Jones Circle, and Lary Lane.
If you are unable to stop by Dan and Whit’s, just let us know and we will deliver it to you. Please spread the word to neighbors that the pick up location is at Dan and Whit’s. If you have any questions or concerns please contact marioncrosspto@gmail.com.
Thank you and have a very sweet October!

At Dan and Whit’s it is just inside the store at the cash registers- you can’t miss it
It’s almost at the half full but still needs your help
This is a photo from a previous Halloween collection at Dan and Whit’s (pretty successful I would say)
This box is just outside the Norwich Nursery entrance- an outside drop off location so as not to interfere with the school children’s daily activities.
Marion Cross School location is by the administrative desk as you enter the main entrance.
