Hello Norwich,
I received this information in an email from Brie Swenson to share with the community. I stopped by the green and took these photos to add to the story.
I hope you enjoy.
Here is Brie’s message:
Good afternoon,.
This evening at 4:30pm, the fence that surrounds our town green will be illuminated. Many people helped to hang the garland, ornaments and lights – they were: Fauci, Roane and Lyall families, Richard Neugass, Demo Sofronas, Steve Flanders and Linda Cook. Today, Adam (DPW), joined me to set up the path to the gazebo and the timer. Thank you, everyone! If all goes well, this should be a truly beautiful site to see in our town center.
Also, please make certain to follow our online program, ‘Norwich Nailed It’ – every week, we have over 40 Norwichians who are participating in a virtual baking competition. I will say, we need more ‘Adult’ participants – Fiona was all alone this week! There are prize packages for the Youth, Adult and Family/Group categories – a Golden Spoon, a gift card to a local Norwich business (Blue Sparrow last week, Dan & Whit’s this week and the Norwich Bookstore next week so far!), and a bottle of sparkling cider. Here is where to find out more: https://norwichvt.myrec.com/info/activities/program_details.aspx?ProgramID=29919

There are galleries of the past and present week’s creations….there is certainly some talent around here!
Stay safe and warm everyone,
