Miss Lani and the Children' Art studio giving back to the community
Through acts of kindness and their art
I recently stopped in at the Childrens Art Studio in Norwich and had a nice friendly chat with Miss Lani who shared with me some of the things that she and the children have done recently to give back to the community and to spread kindness throughout the Upper valley.
I reached out to Miss Lani and asked her to explain these photos that I took and one that was sent in by Fran De Gasta.
Miss Lani replied with the following statement:
Hi Demo
Here is a picture of the gifts we created . . . artful and loving . . . . .I have been deeply touched by the intuitive thoughts and empathy expressed by my students toward one another and to me. True artist spirit, this deep observation gave way to inspire me to develop an initiative to connect with the children visiting DHMC, Upper Valley’s first encounters, to seek wellness and treatments for medical care. As our studio is an oasis, so is David’s House for acts of kindness– an oasis.

Miss Lani went on to say : Art creative templates water color pencils from Switzerland are our favorites. To spark recovery are my gifts this year to the David’s House resident children, we say be a part of art.

On to another subject:
High Horses Center for Equine Assisted Services celebrated a 30 year anniversary recently.
30 years ( this is how many years according to Google.)
For 30 years, we have impacted the health and well-being of thousands through an array of Equine Assisted Services. We support healing for individuals with numerous physical and mental health conditions, from children living with motor disabilities to adults grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder.
And here is an art drawing that was done at her studio to celebrate 30 + years of High Horses
And another couple of drawings from the children
Here is a listserv posting sent in by Dave Burtonbush, Innkeeper at the Norwich Inn explaining the wonderful work that is being done on Xmas ornaments by the children at the art studio and then donated to the Norwich Inn for display for all to enjoy.

The children at the art studio have once again outdone themselves. They have created beautiful, one of a kind hand crafted ornaments for the tree at the Norwich Inn. Can you believe this is the 5th year they have contributed these wonderful ornaments!
As always, Ms. Lani has a wise message to share:
The children and I wish to give back to our community in a kind way celebrating the townspeople. The kindness, the sense of real collaborative spirit in our rural town of dignity. That each hand design of each ornament is original and from our hearts. From hearts, birds, doves, angels and animals, the lovely variety of the children's desires to offer you the town of Norwich their talent is very special.
Please stop by and check out all of the children's hard work. We have added ornaments from this year but also have all the past years ornaments on the tree for your viewing pleasure.
Thank you!
Dave Burtonbush
