I am sharing some news that you can use from the Norwich Fire department in this story. There will be a Holiday coloring contest for kids and there parents/guardians. There has also been a No burn order issued for this weekend, and a Code Red emergency notifications program available for you to sign up for.

The Norwich Fire Department, in an extra effort to boost the holiday spirit, is hosting a Kids’ Holiday Coloring Contest!
* Age groups: 5-7 and 8-10
* Parents/Guardians, your children may draw or color their favorite holiday picture for a chance to win a NFD ball cap or NFD t-shirt. Once completed, please post the art below, specifying child’s age only, for the proper age classification.
* Art work may be posted in the comment thread through December 15th.
* One child from each age group will be chosen, at random, as the coloring contest winner. Parents/Guardians will be notified in the comment thread; mailing address required via direct message to mail the prize.
* Contest open to Norwich resident children, as well as children of town employees.

Per Fire Warden Cook, there is no burning allowed today, Friday, 12/4/2020 through Sunday, 12/6/2020, due to high winds and a winter weather advisory.
