Norwich Public Library Olympics is set for February 22nd.
And you have just enough time to get in on the fun
Good afternoon Norwich and Beyond,
As you probably know the winter Olympics was officially kicked off this morning with an opening ceremony. It should be a fun and exciting event to watch and good luck to all who compete.
Did you also know that your own Norwich Public Library Olympics will be an event that all can participate in and you don’t have to travel to Beijing to be in on the fun.
Our fundraising event, The Library Olympics, is set for Tuesday, February 22nd! It will be a fun night, and we will have a fire pit and hot chocolate in the parking lot for the duration of the evening (5:30 - 7:30) while teams of four people (any ages) participate in racing to find books inside. We have prizes for the fastest three teams, including gift cards to Blue Sparrow and the Norwich Bookstore!
We have limited space for teams, due to time constraints, so we will spread the word through email to anyone that might be interested in participating. Encourage people to sign up early! We are asking people to choose a team captain and sign up online, which allows teams to donate and choose a time slot. A $50 donation per team is suggested, and it all can be done through this link:
Norwich Public Library is holding its own Olympics event on the evening of Tuesday, February 22, 5:30 - 7:30 pm! Test your library knowledge by racing to locate and checkout 4 books across genres and throughout the library. There are medals and prizes for the top three fastest teams!
