It was a true Olympic event complete with competition at it’s best
Did you know that your own Norwich Public Library held an Olympic event right here in Norwich, and the participants did not have to travel too far to be in on the fun.
The fundraising event was held on Tuesday, February 22. It was a night of fun and a little bit of competition just like the Winter Olympics that was recently held in Beijing.
The Norwich Public Library held its own Olympics event on the evening of Tuesday, February 22, 5:30 - 7:30 pm! Participants and teams tested their library knowledge by racing to locate and checkout 4 books across genres and throughout the library. There were medals and prizes presented for the top three fastest teams!
First Place: Team Sabky
And these team members are proudly wearing their gold medals
Second Place: Who Let the Moms Out
Third Place: Team Gigi
The items sought after were not only books, but also kettle bells and dvds! Â
Prizes were donated by The Norwich Bookstore, Blue Sparrow Cafe, and Mascoma Bank.
Thanks so much for participating in this fun event, and for helping us raise $ 400.00 for the NPL.
The Development Committee:Â Mark, Molly, & Tricia
