Good Afternoon Norwich,
As you already found out this morning we have snow and yet the possibility of another snowstorm this weekend. I am hopeful though that this will all pass soon and we can officially usher in Spring all but a bit late of course.
This was the snow scene this morning.
And more of the same here
Peek a boo! I see you! This little shoot is hanging on for dear life.
This morning you may have been surprised to see your yards, driveways and or streets covered in snow. I know it shouldn’t come as a surprise as we do live in Vermont after all, however I was a bit hopeful that spring was here to stay. I reached out to a couple of golf courses and received some positive news as to tentative start dates for the 2024 golf season and I even put out a call to my readers to share some sights of Spring in their yards etc. with the community.
Here is that message and some photos that I received for the upcoming story.
Spring has almost sprung and I would like to do a story on the early signs of spring if you will. I am specifically looking for anything spring that might be sprouting up in your neck of the woods that you might want to share with the community. Here is a photo of the first sprout from the Marion Cross School flower bed that was sent in to me by Gena Heng. It was spotted by her son and this gave me the idea to do this story Thank you to Gena and to her son for this discovery.
First mini bloom you could say and it was spotted at the MCS flower bed.
Nancy Dennis sent this photo to me on Sun, Mar 17, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day
Thanks! it truly looks like spring - even the jonquils are through but you cant see them
Nancy
These are today’s photos that I took!
These were spotted on Turnpike Rd
And here are some more signs of spring on main Street
Looking forward to getting some of yours sent in as soon as the snow melts.
Please send to aboutnorwich@gmail.com and I will add them to this one or share them in another spring story.
Last but not least soon we may even see some of these:
