Sweet Valentines for Veterans at the WRJ VA hospital
A thoughtful gesture for Veterans from these Norwich Ladies
Good morning Norwich, and the Upper Valley,
Here is a story right form the heart and just in time for Valentine’s day.
It was quite a busy get together at the Norwich Inn on the evening of February 4, for a group of Norwich ladies who gathered there to craft valentines for veterans and as you can see from the photos they sure did make a few.
The valentines were delivered to the VA Hospital in White River yesterday afternoon-and they’ll be placed on in-patient meal trays over the next few days just in time for Valentines day. It was a wonderful evening of crafting for a good cause.
This project was started over 15 years ago by Becky Munsterer Sabky. She coordinates it with the Volunteer Services Department at the VA Hospital. She simply invites a group of ladies, 20 showed up for this event, to get together and craft valentines for veterans who are patients at the VA hospital in White River Junction. Unique and creative artwork is displayed on these Valentine’s day cards making this project a success and it is all from the heart of these ladies. (There is one rule though-no glitter!)
These ladies know how to shoot from the heart with their messages of love and hope.
Thank you for reading and supporting my Newsletter about Norwich.
A good loving deed/story for Veterans on a snowy day.
