To be (dunked) or not to be... and a couple of other announcements!
How would you like to make a splash?
Good evening Norwich,
Today, I have a few announcements, one of which is the Norwich fair sponsored by the Norwich Lions club. This year’s fair will be held August 7 through August 10 and will be held at the Main Street Gazebo in Norwich, VT. Be assured there will be food, rides, music, games and more for you to enjoy.
There are only 26 days left before the start of the fair so mark your calendars.
I want to highlight one event at the fair that has become quite popular since it’s inception several years ago. What makes this event interesting is the competition that it generates among the participants. This event is sure to make a SPLASH however it does come with a warning as it may cause excessive laughter - “The Dunk Tank.” It’s not too late to get your name on the list or even to sign up a friend! The Dunkee who raises the most money wins a prize. It is a lot of fun to watch and on a hot August day and might be a cool thing to do. I have provided information that appeared in the List serv on this fun event and of course check out the Norwich Lions club website for any updates to the fair events:

Beaver Meadow chapel is a happening place!
Here is a just a sampling of what will be happening there over the next few months. It just might be appealing to you so take a moment to read the rest of this recent posting that appeared in the list serv this week.
The chapel after having the outside building completely painted and the Chimmey repairs done is ready to host some events. See events calendar below:
New paint job
And new chimney work
And here are some upcoming events
On July 20 at 3 pm Ford Daley and Paul Barker will sing old time favorites. Come and listen or singalong with them. Light refreshments will follow their performance.
On August 17 at 3 pm Rabbi Mark Melamut from Upper Valley Jewish Community at Roth Center will be leading worship. He will be bringing some Jewish items with him and explain symbolism represented by these items.
On September 21 at 3 pm Rev Johnathan Hauze from the Norwich Congregational Church will be leading worship.
On October 19 at 3 pm Rev Dick Hodge from the Fairlee Community Church of Christ will led worship.
Last year the Wrensong choir performed to a packed house and again will be at the Chapel.
Next email will have further events as well as date for Wrensong performance.
The chapel has reduced its reserve fund to pay for the painting and chimney work so any contributions would be most appreciated. You can make checks payable to Beaver Meadow Chapel and mail to Donna Wheeler, Treasurer, 3322 Beaver Meadow Road, Sharon, Vermont 05065.
Also please check out The Beaver Meadow Cemetary that has had major maintenance led by Jayn Keller and the community. Angus Anderson re did a wall. You can read all about that story here by clicking on the blue read full story link just beneath this cemetery photo.
Don't forget to attend the pizza party on the last Friday of the month at The Beaver Meadow Schoolhouse led by Alex Gottlieb and his wife Sonia with Sonia Swierkczynski making the sauce. It's a wonderful party with great food and conversation.
What a great community Beaver Meadow is.
Please mark your calendar for all the upcoming events. Looking forward to see you at the chapel or school house.
Email me at phwcpa@aol.com or call 802 649 1626 if you have any questions.
