What would a Wood Bee be without you there!
They need you to-move wood to the splitters -move split wood to the shed -stack wood in the shed -provide refreshments
Good evening Norwich and Upper valley readers,
Each year there is a gathering of residents who get together to cut, split, and stack wood at the Norwich wood lot on Beaver Meadow road. The end result of this work detail is several cords of wood made available to those who need it most. It is a great opportunity to meet your neighbor while doing something that can make a huge difference as the requests for heat assistance come in just as the weather starts to change from fall to winter. I am sharing with you the posting that appeared in the listserv from Eric Friets who is the coordinator of this event. I am also posting a couple of stories that I did on this event in previous years so that you can know what to expect when you arrive. Click on the blue read full story buttons below the photos
Here is the posting with all the pertinent info for this years event just after this cover photo.
Sure hope you can attend as you will make it easier for all involved as the ole saying goes-The more the merrier.

How much wood could a woodchuck smoke, if a woodchuck could smoke wood?
It is a great group of HHS seniors and juniors and they are hardworking and enjoy knowing that their work is an investment in their community.
And here is one that was done in 2024 to advertise the event only . Click the blue read full story button.
