Good morning Norwich and beyond the Upper Valley,
Well winter is here for a bit longer, the bitter cold and recent snow squalls and mini storms are a testament to that. I am sure you that some of you are enjoying the many things you can do in the snow like skiing both downhill and cross country, snow shoeing, snow tubing and sled sliding just to name a few. I am sure that you all have maple syrup, why not try making a winter time treat and candy, maple sugar on snow.
Did you know that you can make a snow creature and watch it grow, sparkle in the sun and eventually melt as spring nears?
Dress warm, boots, hats, and mittens and get out there and enjoy the snow. I am always on the lookout for photos of creative snowmies and snow sculptures. You can send the photos to aboutnorwich@gmail.com and I will post them so that all can share.
Here are a two stories/photo essays that were done in the past to give you ideas.
And here is another
Looking forward to a few photos to share with my readers and the community
Thanks for considering this request
After I posted this I went for a walk and took a few photos along the way. The DPW crew was out plowing the sidewalks which was very much appreciated as the sun came out and it made the walk much more fun and easier to do even though it was only 13 degrees. Here are a few photos from this mornings journey.
The loop from Huntley all the way down Main street is as clear as can be and OK to walk on safely.
Here they come and I better move out of the way
Great job !
Beaver Meadow looks good too!
And these folks aka the weekend crew are out with their dogs enjoying the day.
This has been groomed and is ready for a few sleds or snow tubes.
Snow cushions and I was tempted to settle in for a break but did not want to ruin the beauty of this photo.
Looking good all covered with snow
